MESSAGE FROM THE TOP
Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara – a sage renowned for his spiritual accomplishments, a forerunner in humanitarian services, and a trailblazer in education, in memory of whom Chavara Vidya Bhavan is established, was an insightful educationist and pro-poor visionary from the nineteenth century. His pioneering efforts in starting a school attached to the first CMI monastery in Kerala made it possible to groom children without any trace of social discrimination, his innovative step in starting a process called "Pidiyari" was a sort of crowd-funding to support children from economically backward families his insistent attempts also made it possible to start a locally made printing press that eventually facilitated the cultivation of reading habit among ordinary people. In all, Saint Chavara’s efforts in education were with integral and inclusive outlook and as a result he could develop a generation that was literate, broad-minded, and generous he could widen their horizons and enable them to dream of a society that was treading on the path of integral and inclusive approach to life as well.

Greetings from the Principal's Desk!!!
It's better to take many small steps repeatedly in the right direction, if needed, to consolidate the foundation than to make a big leap forward hurriedly, only to stumble back.’
Our school symbolizes hope and faith. Hope that ‘The impossible will soon be possible', and faith that 'Ignited minds will turn dreams into reality’. These thoughts become infectious and craft self-esteem with optimism in its human resources, which in turn inspires a moral impetus in the young ones. The zeal to excel in life becomes a routine.
No pessimist has ever discovered the secret of the heavenly bodies or sailed the uncharted sea or opened a new doorway for human beings to progress. It needs optimism of the highest degree to be exceptionally productive.
We stimulate our kids, 'The best books haven't been written. The best race hasn't been run. The best score hasn't been made yet. The best song hasn't been sung. Cheer up! For the world is young!'
Choosing a learning centre where the young ones are cared for and nurtured with holistic values and 21st-century life skills, is one of the major decisions ever taken by parents. FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR’S DESK
Schooling is our first contact with the world, a period of joy, healthy competition, fear, adjustment, sharing and love. It is not the wide-open spaces, classrooms, the library, laboratories or the large fields that make the school. It is in the hearts of the students and the staff that the true institution exists.
Learning is not a process limited to schools and colleges only, nor does it end with the conclusion of one’s schooling. It is indeed a lifelong process. This school is oriented to the total formation of a child and to adaptations of various methods that suit the dynamics of the changing world in order to achieve common goals and objectives. It is further characterised by shared vision - responsibility and above all, love and faith in God in order to achieve these goals.
It is only after leaving school that one really appreciates the feeling of having belonged to the school. This general feeling of "Belonging", of being wanted is so necessary for our happiness; but here at school now we seem to take it so much for granted, whether we are a part of a sports team, or a class or a club, or; yes, even part of the Chavara Family.

Chavara Vidya Bhavan Matric. Hr. Sec. School, an ISO 21001:2018 Certified Institution, is recognized by the Govt. of Tamilnadu (Recognition Code: 002 – M-0171-0521). The medium of instruction is English.The school is situated at Somayampalayam, away from the bustle of the city amidst natural surroundings.
The school is an unaided minority institution administered by the management of CMI fathers of Preshitha Province, Coimbatore and owned by Little Flower Educational Society, a body registered under ‘The Societies Registration Act’ in the year 1972, having its office at the Little Flower Mission Centre, Coimbatore.
